WELLness Coach: Empowering Female Athletes and Active Women
As a WELLness Coach, I specialize in supporting female athletes and active women to optimize every aspect of their training and lifestyle. Drawing on the latest research and data tailored to the female experience, my mission is to empower women to achieve their goals while prioritizing long-term health and well-being.
I have proudly served the Chicagoland fitness community for the past 38 years. My journey began as the manager of The Chicago Sweat Shop, one of Chicago’s first aerobic studios, and later inspired me to open my own gym, Second Wind.
Today, I coach high school girls' cross country and collaborate with female athletes and coaches to implement humanistic coaching methods, emphasizing the development of the WHOLE athlete. By integrating mental strategies with physical training, I help athletes achieve sustainable WELL-being and success in both sport and life.
In addition to coaching, I work with individual clients to create customized plans that promote sustainable WELLness. My personal journey—including experiences with body image, growing up in the early days of Title IX, and witnessing discrimination in sports—uniquely equips me to understand, listen, and guide my clients and athletes.
My certifications include:
- Certified Personal Trainer (specializing in strength and conditioning and women’s strength training)
- Certified Yoga Instructor (with a focus on athletes and trauma-informed yoga)
- Certified Digital Wellness Specialist
- Certified Running Coach
- Certified Wellness Coach
Whether coaching athletes to new achievements or guiding clients to embrace WELLness, I am passionate about helping women thrive in sport and life.
