I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist in private practice in MA, and also licensed in RI. I am a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the NASW, and a Board Member of the Alliance of Social Workers in Sports, where I also serve as the Co-Chair of the Clinicians Committee. I specialize in Athlete Mental Health, and treat children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. I am also the Co-Founder of Athlete Wellness Consultants, a consulting group that provides education and training to coaches, athletes and teams about athlete mental health and wellness. AWC strives to normalize conversation around athlete mental health, helping coaches to create a more positive and affirming sport culture.
I recognize the stress, pressures and high expectations athletes have to endure, which can lead to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse and other mental health issues. I understand the athlete mindset, and I strive to help athletes see themselves as more than just an athlete, and not just a sport robot expected to perform and succeed.I have been a life-long athlete and played D-1 soccer at Boston College. I have also coached many youth, high school and women’s soccer teams, and founded the Cape Cod Women’s Soccer League over 20 years ago. I am available for speaking engagements and presentations regarding athlete mental health. I enjoy sharing my passion for social work and sports with others who are also interested in helping athletes thrive on and off the field!
I am also a Coach offering mental performance skills to athletes who are focused on overcoming performance anxiety, learning visualization and mindfulness skills, and maintaining a positive, more confident mindset.
