During my time as a D1 soccer player at NC State University, I had a disordered relationship with food. This led to a constant cycle of restriction, binge eating, chronic amenorrhea and horrible body image/self talk. I was constantly under-fueled and hurt. I never had a regular menstrual cycle (yet was told by my physicians that it was “normal”). I spent a ton of time in the athletic training room in college and eventually ended my career my senior year when I tore my ACL. Through the recovery journey and post sport life, I realized the importance of nutrition and how so much information/disordered eating led me to never reaching my full potential athletically and missing out on so many life experiences. This has shaped who I am today as a Registered Dietitian, athlete, mom and business owner.
From being the Director of Performance Nutrition at UCLA to working with professional teams to gold medalists, I help athletes focus on simple and realistic nutrition to help them be the best version of themselves in and out of sport. I understand how hard it can be to prioritize fueling your body with competing priorities but you can’t be a great athlete without being a healthy person. Health comes first. For the last 8 + years in elite sports, I help athletes do just that.
Teams I have worked with: UCLA Athletics, CSUN Athletics, SDSU Athletics, CSUF Athletics, USA Taekwondo, USA Field Hockey, NJ/NY Gotham Football Club, NBA All Stars, OTQ Marathon.
