Reilly Beatty

Sports Dietitian | REDs | Period Recovery

During my time as a D1 soccer player at NC State University, I had a disordered relationship with food. This led to a constant cycle of restriction, binge eating, chronic amenorrhea and horrible body image/self talk.

I was constantly under-fueled and hurt. I never had a regular menstrual cycle (yet was told by my physicians that it was “normal”). I spent a ton of time in the athletic training room in college and eventually ended my career my senior year when I tore my ACL.

Through the recovery journey and post sport life, I realized the importance of nutrition and how so much information/disordered eating led me to never reaching my full potential athletically and missing out on so many life experiences. This has shaped who I am today as a Registered Dietitian, athlete, mom and business owner.

From being the Director of Performance Nutrition at UCLA to working with professional teams to gold medalists, I help athletes focus on simple and realistic nutrition to help them be the best version of themselves in and out of sport.  I understand how hard it can be to prioritize fueling your body with competing priorities but you can’t be a great athlete without being a healthy person. Health comes first. For the last 8 + years in elite sports, I help athletes do just that.

Teams I have worked with: UCLA Athletics, CSUN Athletics, SDSU Athletics, CSUF Athletics, USA Taekwondo, USA Field Hockey, NJ/NY Gotham Football Club, NBA All Stars, OTQ Marathon.

Renee Hodges

Doctor of Physical Therapy + Endurance Coach

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) based in Tempe, Arizona and have practiced in the orthopedic setting, since earning my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from A.T. Still University in 2003. Since graduation, I have focused my physical therapy practice on helping injured endurance and strength-based athletes return to doing what they love to do.

I have been a competitive runner since the late 90's, completing numerous Marathons (including Boston), multiple Ultra Marathons, numerous Triathlons (3 x Ironman Finisher + 70.3 World Championships) and have a strong love for trail running, racing and endurance hiking events.

Throughout the years of pursuing my own athletic goals, I've experienced relative energy deficiency (REDs), hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA), over training syndrome (OTS), burnout, injury, and severe self-doubt. I meld my knowledge as a physical therapist + endurance coach with experience in working with athletes with REDs/Eating Disorders(ED)/Disordered Eating (DE) to help athletes find a sustainable path towards achieving their goals.

Sarah Richin

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Hi I'm Sarah! I work as a licensed therapist at True You Therapy and Wellness in Portland, Oregon.I specialize in working with clients from all kinds of background, but have found myself helping clients who are navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, transitions in their sport and body image struggles.

I incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities when working with my clients including DBT, CBT, ERP and ACT. I am also currently pursuing CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) certification.

My approach is rooted in compassion and curiosity. I aim to help clients rebuild a peaceful relationship with food, body, and self. I support clients in finding balance, self-trust, and freedom from rigid patterns so they can reconnect with what truly nourishes them.I received my MSW from the University of South Carolina in 2016 and spent the next several years working in hospitals, eating disorder IOPs, and in-home counseling in Virginia. After experiencing burnout, I took time away from the field to reconnect with myself and return with fresh eyes and renewed energy. That time gave me perspective, both personally and professionally, as I quite literally summited a few mountains here in the Pacific Northwest and learned to slow down along the way.

I believe healing isn’t about perfection, it’s about finding your footing on the climb toward self-trust and balance.

Shannon Marhan

ED & Sports Therapist

Hi, I’m Shannon! I'm a licensed therapist who supports athletes in healing their relationship with food, exercise, and body image. My work is grounded in the understanding that sport can be both a source of strength and a space where disordered patterns can take root. I help athletes of all levels reconnect to their bodies, build sustainable relationships with food and movement, and break free from the pressures of perfectionism, comparison, and control.

I bring a trauma-informed, weight-inclusive approach that recognizes the unique demands athletes face, including identity development, injury, burnout, and the unspoken norms in athletic culture. Whether you're currently in recovery, questioning your relationship with your sport, or supporting someone who is struggling, I provide a nonjudgmental space where healing and high performance don’t have to be at odds.

As an athlete myself, I know how easy it is for discipline and drive to blur into rigidity, shame, or burnout. I work with teens and adults who are navigating that space, whether they’re in the thick of training, stepping back from sport, or somewhere in between. I often collaborate with coaches, dietitians, and medical providers to support a team-based approach to recovery. Together, we’ll explore how sport has shaped your relationship with food, body, and self, and build a path toward more balance, freedom, and trust.

I offer sessions in person in NYC and virtually across NY, CT, and VT. I’d love to work together!
